1. Purify Yourself and the Space

• Take a bath and wear clean clothes.

• Place the Copper Kashyap on a clean altar or a red/yellow cloth.

2. Invocation (Dhyanam)

• Sit calmly, light the diya and incense.

• Meditate on Rishi Kashyapa. You may say:

  “Om Rishi Kashyapaya Namah”

• Visualize the rishi as a wise and peaceful sage guiding you toward clarity and spiritual knowledge.

3. Offerings (Upachara Puja)

• Apply sandalwood paste and kumkum to the idol.

• Offer flowers at the base.

• Light incense and circle it around the idol 3 times clockwise.

• Offer fruits or sweets, and water (from kalash) as naivedyam.

4. Chant Mantras or Prayers

• You may recite:

  “Om Kashyapaya Namah” (108 times or as per capacity)
