This is a very special, monumental Shivlingam with two stones, Amethyst and pure Chrystal; It combines two planetary energies; Amethyst is said to represent Shani-Saturn (but more soft and “humid” energy than a “dry” Blue sapphire lingam), and Chrystal, which is said to represent Shukra-Venus. The Amethyst base has a special color tinge, it is actually deep sky-blue, which turns in dim light to dark brown, dark grey or black! The Chrystal Lingam has a hypnotic effect when you observe it intensively. I have used several mantras and stotras to worship it: Om Namah Shivaya, Mahamrityunjaya mantra, Bhairava wishfulling mantra, different Mahakalabhairava stotras, Kalaratri and Kamakalakali stotras. This Sivalingam creates a magical, dark, protective, though a bit cold, ghostly and dreary aura around it, especially in dark.
