Margatha Lingam with Nandi

A gemstone green jade shivling is considered highly auspicious and is said to have one of the highest frequency vibration rate. Margatha Lingam with Nandi is considered to be auspicious and praying and bowing down to shivling is considered to be bowing to Lord shiva directly.

It is believed that during “Ramayan Kaal”: Lord Ram and Laxman sat on the sphatik rock. The most common use of the Shiva Lingam is for sacred bathing (abhishekam) and so the worship of a Shivling always includes an abhisheka usually of milk or water

• Nandi in the form of a bull is Shiva’s vehicle. He is paid obeisance before shiva. In the temples of Shiva, Nandi stands on one leg and the other three are bent at the knees. This signifies that in Kaliyug, righteousness exists only to the extent o one-fourth.
• Green Jade Margatha Nandi represents strength, faith, and constancy in belief. Green Jade Margatha Nandi often sits directly outside a shrine to Shiva, facing the deity. Often an image of Nandi, the sacred bull on which Shiva rides, faces the linga. In Sanskrit, the common bull is “Vrisha”, meaning: righteousness or Dharma.

                                 Importance of Margatha Lingam with Nandi

According to Shiva Purana – Two forms I have, Shiva is My Physical manifestation, and lingam of luminosity represents My unmanifest Abstract reality. I can also manifest in propertyless, formless, infinite, and unprecedented form. I manifested as Lingam to reveal my universality.

Shiva manifestation shows My Supreme divinity. Lingam is My symbolic form and it gains one the access to me. One who installs Lingam with true devotion gets unified with my divine reality and achieves final salvation in the process. The idol os Shiva form for worship is for those Faithfull’s who can not comprehend my abstract reality.

How to do Pooja or worship of Margatha Lingam with Nandi and  Shivaling at home

• Worship Lord Ganesha Before worshipping Lord Shiva
• Pray to Lord Shiva at least once every day at your home with  Crystal shivling
• Offer Panchaamrit (Milk, Curd, Ghee, Sugar, honey one by one).
• wash the Margatha Lingam with Nandi with gangajal OR Rosewater
• Apply Vibuti, Sandal Paste, and Saffron and then offer Dhoop, agarbatti, or Diya. then sprinkle Flowers
•  chant the  mantra “Om Namah Shivay
