Vastu Purush Mandala and how it came into existence

So the fight halted. The devtas and asuras together took this giant male to Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma called this giant, his manas Putra and named him Vastu Purush. In this manner, it came into existence. This Vastu Purush then lay down to sleep in a specific posture. Some parts of his body were inhabited by the devtas and the others by the asuras. From then onwards, Lord Brahma ordered that full attention be paid to the Vastu Purush, While constructing a building, town, pond, temple, and other structures, otherwise, it be eaten by the asuras. Whoever revered the Vastu Purush would be supported by the devtas in his cause. Their problem solving, and the devtas and the asuras happily bade Lord Brahma farewell.
