Rudraksha Japa mala used with Shiva mantra, and it is usually the Panch Mukhi Rudraksha Mala, which used as a Japa Mala. Besides being used as a Japa Mala, the Rudraksha mala can also help to lower blood pressure and create stability within the entire system, if worn around the neck. Rudraksha mala has many healing properties that have scientifically proved. Rosary made out of Rudraksha Beads in the auspicious numbers like (108+1, 54+1, 27+1) is called Rudraksha Mala. The +1 bead called Sumeru(it not crossed while chanting), which considered as the boundary for returning in a reverse direction for further counting. Mala used for wearing as well as for Japa (Chanting Mantra for Spiritual attainments). It used to count the Mantra in the above figure (108,54,27). The same Mala not used for wearing as well as Japa. Mala rests on the ring finger, and the middle finger used for Japa. Index and smallest finger considered as inauspicious for touching the Mala during the Japa process. Rudraksha Rosary considered the only rosary, which can use for Japa of all kinds. The details found in the scriptures say that Rudraksha rosary should wear after proper sanctification with Mantra.
